This specialty wine shop, which imported wines from around the world, was located on the concourse level of the Conservatory. The overall design concept was to treat wine bottles as though they were rare books. A custom birch and maple wine display shelf and rack system displayed and stored the bottles in a variety of ways. The warm, neutral background of the wood casework showed off the rich, muted colors of the labels and glass bottles to the best advantage. Maple flooring, doors and trim were combined with rolling bookcase ladders and original artwork, which expressed the civility and organization of a library.
