North Lakes Academy is a non-profit, public charter school. Due to the success of their program, North Lakes Academy proposes to expand its program to grades 5 through 12, with a projected enrollment of 380 students by the fall of 2010. The proposed building for North Lakes Academy is planned on the west portion of the site to take advantage of views to the wetland, and provide a buffer from the airport for the residential neighborhood to the west.  For athletics, there are plans for a soccer field and a playground.  Trails will surround the wetland to take advantage of the site’s natural amenities.
