| Kodet Architectural Group is currently designing a Visitor Center that will provide an endpoint and backdrop to the Noerenberg Memorial Gardens. The building will culminate the visitor’s experience through the Gardens and will have several indoor spaces and outdoor courtyards that will allow the visitor to view the entire gardens. The building will have many iconic historical design elements that are related to other buildings on the site. The design also fits within the natural landscape of the site without overshadowing the impact of the Gardens.
Natural lighting and windows will take advantage of the site and provide views of the gardens. The public portion of the park is used only during the day and is mostly used for garden tours and educational presentations, passive use visits, and limited use for weddings and commercial purposes.
Sustainable design is important for this project. We are using the Hennepin County and Minnesota Sustainable Guidelines.
