Hmong Academy is a growing charter school in St. Paul that relocated to an existing building, allowing them to expand.  The building, which was originally a health club, needed to fit the vibrant middle and high school program.  Kodet Architectural Group worked with the staff and administration to remodel unused and underutilized space within the building to provide 9 new classrooms including art and choir and an expanded lunchroom for the school.  At the main entrance, offices were expanded to provide areas for private consultation between students, parents, and staff. Throughout the remodeled area, lively colors were used as accents in the classrooms, hallways, and gathering areas to enrich the formerly beige spaces.  Details were also added at doorways to highlight classroom entrances.
